Math Competitions in Germany

Germany has a dual-track competition system: the Mathematik-Olympiade (with ~200,000 participants across school, regional, state, and federal rounds) and the Bundeswettbewerb Mathematik (a take-home competition for advanced students). Germany also participates enthusiastically in Math Kangaroo (Kanguru der Mathematik).
